We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Sessional English Teachers to join our thriving Further Education College in Mansfield. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers and newly qualified professionals looking for flexible day-to-day supply work or short-term teaching roles.

About the Role

Due to growing demand, we are looking to build a team of reliable and engaging English teachers to support across a range of provision, including:

  • GCSE English (resit and Functional Skills)
  • Full-time study programmes
  • Adult learning provision

Roles are available on a sessional, flexible basis, including ad hoc cover, short-term placements, and temporary contracts.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons
  • Support students to develop confidence and achieve their qualifications
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learner needs

About You

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate about English and education
  • Flexible, reliable, and adaptable
  • Strong communicators with excellent classroom management skills
  • Committed to helping learners succeed

Essential Requirements

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • English qualification (degree or relevant subject specialism preferred)
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above
  • Experience teaching English within an FE or secondary setting

Desirable

  • Experience delivering Functional Skills and/or GCSE resits
  • QTLS or working towards it
  • Experience working with post-16 learners
